mesoamerican fantasy instead of European fantasy cause i wanna be AWESOME

foundation finds entrance to Mictlan somewhere blah blah some doctor guy his like wife or some shit dies so he goes on an adventure to save her through Mictlan and hijinks ensue. he learns to just let her go though after he realises he missed the idea of her, not her herself. guided by Xolotl and some other silly guys along the way.

"Tell me, Mateo, what was your wife's favourite meal, so we may have it prepared when she arrives."

"Oh, well, she liked…." He trailed off, realizing he didn't have an answer. Nora had always prepared what he wanted, but never had he done the same for her. Not once had he asked her what she wanted to eat.

"I'm… I'm not sure."
