SCP-XXXX is contained within a SHAAC-S at Area-34, modified with an artificial brackish tide pool. SCP-XXXX is permitted supervised access to a small planter box for coral cultivation.
When requested, on-duty medical staff are to provide SCP-XXXX assistance in the manual removal of excess growth.
DESCRIPTION
SCP-XXXX is a Belizean male, physically unremarkable asides from patches of calcified, coral-like tissue across both forearms and the lower third of each leg. SCP-XXXX retains full mobility in affected limbs but does report diminished tactile sensation.
Upon physical contact with an injured individual, SCP-XXXX can induce rapid growth of a calcium-carbonate-baded tissue, similar to reef-building coral polyps, across the site of injury. This growth halts bleeding and infection and, with sustained contact, will fully regenerate damaged or missing tissue over a period of hours to days. SCP-XXXX has shown to be capable of recovering severed digits, deep gashes, and whole organs.
Repeated or prolonged use of this ability produces a lasting calcified residue at the point of contact, which does not naturally recede and, left unattended, will continue to expand at an average rate of 0.6cm per year. Unchecked growth would eventually restrict joint mobility and, over a span of decades, could fully immobilize or asphyxiate the subject. This growth can be safely trimmed, but all attempts to fully remove it have failed.
Extended periods.Anywhere from 1-3 weeks. without using this ability results in the same tissue forming spontaneously across SCP-XXXX's own body.

DISCOVERY
SCP-XXXX was apprehended in June 2020 near the coastal town of Sarteneja, Belize, during a joint Foundation/INCA.Institución de Normalidad Centroamericana (GoI-0827), the primary normalcy preservation body for Central America. operation targeting a suspected Miracle Liberation Front.GoI-0008. A loosely-affiliated coalition of largely non-human and anomalous individuals engaged in guerrilla action against the Foundation, GOC, and similar organizations. safehouse. Armed Mobile Task Force Iota-27 ("Big Sticks"), acting on intelligence suggesting a full operational cell was present, instead found the building occupied solely by SCP-XXXX. He was discovered near the safehouse's docks and did not resist capture. The safehouse's other occupants had apparently relocated inland in the days prior for unknown reasons.
A search of the property recovered a functioning digital video recorder wired to a network of security. The recovered drive contained approximately eleven months of motion-triggered recordings of varying quality.
Among the figures who appear across the footage is Humberto del Pozo (PoI-8273), a member of the Front previously only known via a blurry photograph during an unrelated 2019 incident in Michigan.
