Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5709 is allowed limited free travel of Site-120, with access barred to any sections which require higher than Security Level 3/GENERAL to enter. SCP-5709 is to be accompanied at all times by security personnel while outside its containment chamber. In the event of a containment breach or other emergency, SCP-5709 is to follow Evacuation Protocols as detailed for high-ranking Foundation staff.

After two weeks have passed since SCP-5709's last excursion, SCP-5709 is to be taken to Secure Testing Chamber 37. Food and drinks are to be taken to SCP-5709 until it is displaced.

Once SCP-5709 returns to baseline reality, it is to be located via the implanted tracking chip and brought back to Site-120 by MTF Sigma-56 ("Hopper Finder"). The recovery of SCP-5709 is to be considered a priority, and any and all measures are to be taken to ensure SCP-5709's safety. After each excursion, SCP-5709 is allowed to request an item or training seminar to better prepare it for future excursions.

Description: SCP-5709 is a white young adult male with blonde hair and green eyes. The entity exhibits no physical anomalies and is anatomically identical to an average human. SCP-5709's birth name is H█████ O██████, although it prefers to go by the numerous nicknames given to it by Site-120 personnel.

SCP-5709 was originally recovered from Austin State Hospital, where they were remanded for "mental unwellness." Analysis of records held by the hospital revealed that SCP-5709 had claimed to have gotten "hit by a car, then woken up in some parallel world." SCP-5709 claims to have been stuck there until it was suddenly transported to Austin, Texas, where it was arrested by the Austin Police Department for "disturbing the peace." SCP-5709 was officially brought under Foundation purview when an investigation revealed that it was, in fact, hit by a car, and officially declared dead a week before being remanded to Austin State Hospital.

SCP-5709 is capable of being displaced and reappearing in a different location after a varying amount of time. At first, it was thought that this was the extent of its anomalous properties, but subsequent interviews and testing revealed this was merely a side-effect of its primary anomaly. During SCP-5709's disappearances, it is removed from baseline reality and transported to another, alternate reality. SCP-5709 is incapable of controlling how long it stays within an alternative reality, and is usually abruptly brought back to baseline reality. The only warning to this, according to SCP-5709, is a sense of nausea and a powerful migraine. If SCP-5709 moves about in the alternate world, the eventual shift back will then place it at the corresponding area in our reality. A curated list of realities that SCP-5709 has accessed is available within Addendum 5709.1. Of note is that SCP-5709 has yet to access a reality whose laws of physics are dissimilar to our own.

SCP-5709 is extensively used by Site-120 to explore and catalogue other realities. Due to this and its general compliance with the Foundation, it has officially been hired as a Class-E staff member. SCP-5709 is also allowed access to Safe or Euclid-class anomalies that wouldn't impair its mental or physical functions or infect it with a contagious trait.
