SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a large stone mask depicting the Egyptian god Anubis1 dating back to the Late Period of Ancient Egypt.2 According to information presented in Addendum.XXXX.1, SCP-XXXX only recently obtained anomalous properties, gaining them through a thaumaturgic ritual. These anomalous properties allow SCP-XXXX to host the consciousnesses of conceptual entities, allowing for communication with these entities. SCP-XXXX is only capable of hosting one consciousness at a time, and the mechanism by which a conceptual entity is hosted or removed within SCP-XXXX is unknown. Consciousnesses within SCP-XXXX are also capable of projecting intangible manifestations of themselves from the mask, although it is unknown if this is a secondary property of SCP-XXXX or an anomalous ability of SCP-XXXX-A.
SCP-XXXX-A is the consciousness currently contained within SCP-XXXX. Noospheric mapping of the entity has revealed it to occupy the same conceptual space as the Aztec god Xolotl.3
SCP-XXXX-B refers to an entity that manifests when an individual dons SCP-XXXX, where-in the consciousness of the individual is replaced by SCP-XXXX-A. This results in several physical deformities and anomalous properties, such as:
- The near spontaneous growth of black hair over the majority of the individual's body.
- The replacement of teeth with that of a Canis lupus familiaris, specifically the Xoloitzcuintle breed.
- The ability to reanimate and control cadavers of humans and canines via physical contact.
- The ability to incur mass apoptosis in individuals, resulting in their deaths. SCP-XXXX-B is capable of triggering this either remotely or via physical touch, although it takes longer for more cells to undergo apoptosis if it is done remotely.
- Superhuman strength
- Note: Superhuman abilities are common among Totemic avatars, which SCP-XXXX-B is believed to be, although it is noticeably weaker compared to archive footage of other known avatars.
SCP-XXXX-B has also shown several minor anomalous abilities, such as being able to identify whether or not an individual is a twin and the current status/location of an individual's twin. SCP-XXXX-B can be reverted back to its host individual if SCP-XXXX is removed. The physical and anomalous changes done to a host individual are usually reverted once SCP-XXXX is removed, save for the increased hair growth. SCP-XXXX-B is currently being studied by the Department of Anomalous Weapons Development for potential weaponization, with the only major breakthrough being in forms of restraining SCP-XXXX-B.
SCP-XXXX was discovered during routine screening of the Parawatch.net forums, where user "Ascensionite" had shown pictures of it and made claims regarding its anomalous abilities. An investigation into the user failed to find a potential home address, and the acquisition of SCP-XXXX was labelled a Low-Priority Issue.
Several years later, SCP-XXXX was delivered to Area-34 by several individuals associated with GoI-1109 ("Parawatch"), who claimed that they were led to the Area by SCP-XXXX-A. After some minor interrogation and searches of their homes, they were administered amnestics and released. The searches of their homes procured several VHS recordings depicting what is presumed to be the creation of SCP-XXXX and the summoning of SCP-XXXX-A.
