Special Containment Procedures: Foundation personnel, barring those with special permissions, are strictly forbidden from viewing any media produced by GoI-5723 ("Frankfort Animation Company"), be it through an illegal method or not.

Foundation webcrawler I/O-WANT is to monitor online forums and chatrooms for mentions of pirated GoI-5723 content. Flagged material is to summarily deleted, and the chatroom/forum is to be monitored for a period of fifteen days for the disappearance of any of its members. Currently, the Foundation is funding lobbying groups and think tanks pushing for stricter anti-piracy laws, to reduce the amount of SCP-5723 instances produced.

Description: SCP-5723 is the designation given to the anomalous phenomena surrounding pirated media from GoI-5723. The first known instance of a SCP-5723 event occurring was September 8th, 2019, although the Foundation was not made aware of this until forty years after the event took place.

After a variable amount of viewings by a single individual, there is a chance of a SCP-5723 event occuring1. The beginning of a SCP-5723 is marked by the abduction of the viewer by SCP-5723-A instances. These abductions only take place when there is no risk of it being viewed by another individual, and thus may be delayed by constant surveillance. At least eight years after the abduction, data files will be sent to individuals close to the abductee, usually consisting of videos depicting the individual being tortured by SCP-5723-A instances and warnings against pirating.

SCP-5723-A instances are entities that resemble individuals dressed in mascot costumes of popular GoI-5723 characters, such as "Ricky Rat", "Brainy", "Ossie", and "Deer Dorothy." SCP-5723-A instances primarily exist to enforce the copyright of GoI-5723 property, and have taken extreme and violent measures in doing so.
