Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a sealed concrete chamber at Site 19 17. Chamber is to remain locked at all times.
Description: Discovered in Yucatán. Collected by Mexican Armed Forces in 1906. Recovered in 1910, moved to Site 19. Item is a large carved limestone head resembling a feathered serpent. SCP-XXXX exhibits fracture lines and damage around the neck consistent with mechanical seperation. SCP-XXXX is animate and capable of limited movement. Movement is accompanied by audible grinding and includes slight rotation of the head and variation in the openness of the mouth.
SCP-XXXX can vocalize, and does so persistently. This consists primarily of low-frequency moans and incoherent sounds. Occasionally, isolated words in Spanish or Nahuatl will be vocalized, typically in a strained or distressed manner. No consistent meaning has been derived from vocalizations.
Individuals with extended exposure to SCP-XXXX report intrusive thoughts, sudden recollection of unrelated memories, and the sensation of being searched. SCP-XXXX is believed to be capable of cognitive intrusion.
Acquisition Notes
SCP-XXXX was initially discovered and secured by Mexican Armed Forces in 1906 during excavation efforts in Yucatán. Program awareness of the object originated from [ ], an informant within the Mexican Armed Forces.
In 1910, during a period of regional instability, SCP-XXXX was delivered to Program by [ ]. At the time of intake, SCP-XXXX consisted only of the head portion of the structure described in prior reports. The conditions of its retrieval from the original site are not fully known. [ ] expired prior to debrief. No additional information regarding the recovery was obtained.
Testing Data
Initial testing evaluated SCP-XXXX for potential use in intelligence extraction. Subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX demonstrated involuntary disclosure of information. Responses were disorganized, inconsistent, and frequently irrelevant.

Extended exposure resulted in acute distress, loss of coherence, and eventual non-responsiveness. Testing program was terminated due to low reliability and high subject deterioration rate.
Following program termination, SCP-XXXX was moved to Site 17 for permanent storage. No further study is required.
