SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES

SCP-XXXX is currently uncontained. DTF Theta-16 ("Lore Seekers") has been tasked with the tracking and monitoring of SCP-XXXX, with multiple subforces distributed throughout North America. Nature reserves, national parks, and other similar areas are monitored for the presence of SCP-XXXX.

In the event that SCP-XXXX is successfully located and contained, a biocontainment chamber in Area-34 has been set aside for use. Area-34 was specifically chosen for its location in Costa Rica, a biodiversity hotspot.

Samples of SCP-XXXX-FLOWER and other flora generated by SCP-XXXX are to be collected as they are discovered. Transmissions by SCP-XXXX-FLOWER instances are to be suppressed.

DESCRIPTION

SCP-XXXX-FLOWER

A factory's smoke chimney rising over a hazy city, spewing a column of smoke into the air.

An image from a SCP-XXXX-FLOWER transmission.

SCP-XXXX is a Class-III deific entity.Class-III deific entities are those that radiate middling Akiva Radiation, have worshippers in the thousands, and are capable of major ontokinesis on par with or exceeding that of a Class-A reality-bender., resembling a sickly middle-aged Homo sapien sidhe.Fae. SCP-XXXX's right hand, lower left leg and the top right portion of its face have been replaced by advanced prosthetics. Despite SCP-XXXX's classification as a Class-III, no worship of SCP-XXXX has been recorded.

SCP-XXXX has a negative effect on any flora within a ~1km radius of it. Flora within this range has shown decreased rates of metabolism, eventually leading to death and rapid decay. After a period of a week, if SCP-XXXX remains in a single location, new plant life begins to grow. Flora grown as a result of SCP-XXXX's presence have little to no similarities with any plant life native to Earth, with DNA analysis failing to find any known relative species. Eventually, after a period of roughly a month, small metallic structures (SCP-XXXX-FLOWER) resembling flowers begin to emerge from the ground as well. Analysis of the metal forming SCP-XXXX-FLOWER shows similarities in the chemical composition of hephasium.

Instances SCP-XXXX-FLOWER generate a radio transmission twice per week. These transmissions consist of low-quality videos and images of factories and ironworks. A common theme within these transmissions is the pollution caused by these facilities and the poor working conditions.

DISCOVERY

SCP-XXXX was discovered following a distress signal from SCP-6776 on January 15th, 2026. STF Epsilon-55 ("Devil May Care")'s Beta Squad was sent to investigate, upon which it made contact with SCP-6776-A.

SCP-6776-A Interview

[BEGIN LOG]

[Beta Squad arrives at a terminal constructed outside of SCP-6776's primary entrance. BETA-1 steps up to the terminal and logs into it, clearing his throat.]

BETA-1: Six-Seven, we received your distress signal.

[2 minutes pass]

BETA-1: Si-

[From the flora around the terminal, a humanoid figure shaped out of the plants emerges.]

SCP-6776-A: Sorry, it's been hectic down there.

BETA-1: Noted. We got your distress signal, what's going on?

SCP-6776-A: Right, the signal. It's not an issue anymore, not for us at least. We had a newcomer join us last week.

[The terminal switches to show security footage of SCP-XXXX in SCP-6776's cafeteria area, interacting with other inhabitants of the facility.]

SCP-6776-A: He wasn't anything out of the ordinary. He seemed a bit worse for wear, but you know how we are, "come as you are" and all, but… Since he's appeared, we've had this… suffocating feeling, like we were being choked out. We didn't think anything of it until earlier today, when parts of us just started rotting.

[The figure's form shifts, revealing dead plants and dried leaves.]

SCP-6776-A: We tied it back to him, and, I hate to admit this, but we had to remove him from our community. Sent him packing.

BETA-1: Understood… Command's asking you to send any footage or information you have on him to us. Which direction did he go in?

SCP-6776-A: West. He mentioned something about wanting to reconnect with nature, if that helps any.

[END LOG]

E-55's Alpha and Beta Squads searched the surrounding area for signs of SCP-XXXX. A trail of dead flora was found heading West, towards the nearby Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest.
