An SCP-XXXX instance shot down by AMTF Io-26.
Special Containment Procedures: Area-23's defense system is currently on high alert. Armed Mobile Task Force Io-26 ("Sticks and Stones") has been mobilised to form a defense perimeter around Area-23. Other Foundation facilities in the area and/or formerly associated with the Department of Anomalous Weapons Development have also been placed on high alert.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the designation for a group of anomalous trees of various species that, from October 12th to October 26th, 2024, conducted a series of attacks on Area-23.
SCP-XXXX instances are capable of locomotion, propelling themselves through the air via unknown means. Instances have been seen achieving speeds of 685km/hr (426m/hr). SCP-XXXX instances use the various parts of themselves as weaponry. For example:
- Large masses of sap, which exploded on contact with Area-23.
- Metallic pinecones.
- Unusually sharp branches that could be detached.
SCP-XXXX shares similarities with PW-XXXX, a denied paraweapon proposal made by the Department of Anomalous Weapons Development in late 2023. Following the failure of Project Corregidor, the downsizing of the Department, and a transfer of power, several proposals - including PW-XXXX - were lost. It is unknown if these similarities are mere coincidence or indicative of AWD involvement.
Addendum XXXX.1: Initial Encounter
Area-23 was the target of a series of coordinated attacks by groups of SCP-XXXX from October 12th to October 26th. The following is a meeting held after the fifth attack.
