THE WORLD OF THE BEAURACRAT'S MONOLITH
Site-3's coffee budget was increased following the IAPF SCP-9206 disaster and for one Dr. Pearl Neptunia Langstrum the drink had become a neccesity, especially with the onset of her involvement with the Manticorp case. But today was not a day for coffee.
Because the site had somehow ran out.
Normally she'd just dig into her personal storage, but she had expended it all the day before when one of her girlfriends visited.
THE WORLD OF THE CAPED CRUSADE
<START LOG>
Three masked figures dressed in black stand in the centre of the room, with their rifles aimed at the bank workers as they approach the front desk. The figure at the front of the group places the barrel of their rifle aginst the teller's head.
Criminal 1: ANYONE MOVES, AND I POP THIS GUY'S HEAD OFF!
Criminal 2: Do either of you hear that?
Criminal 3: We all know how much weed you've smoked today, Jim.
Criminal 2: Nah man, that shit wore off a minute or so ago, this is something else.

THE WORLD OF THE GRAND AQUARIUM
Her overly fancy cane clacked against the aquarium's tiled floor as she walked, a sound which combined with her heels to make sure that everyone knew she was coming. It was a noise she had harnessed over her tenure managing the family business, a particular style that made the Langstrarium the most popular aquarium in the entire world. Her glittery pink cardigan sparkled beneath the flourescent light as she rounded the corner into the the staffroom. As the door slid shut, She clicked her heels together and spun her cane in a circle without opening her eyes.
"Hello my loves! Such a wonderful day we're having, aren't we?" She was met with silence. After a few seconds, the sound of her shortest wife, Lady Mackintyre, clearing her throat reached her primed ears.
"We have a visitor, dear." Pearl groaned at the statement, slamming her cane against the ground and opening her eyes. In front of her stood a white man wearing a pure black suit. She groaned again.
"And who might you be?" The man cleared his throat.
"I am with the Government, ma'am. You haven't been paying your taxes and i'm here to shut the building down." Pearl was quiet for a second before letting out a low chuckle.
"Alrighty then, girls, please go to the personal quarters. This shouldn't take long."

THE WORLD AFTER THE EPILOGUE
Dr. Pearl Neptunia Langstrum died scared when it all went down. Most of them did.
I barely knew her. We had only met once, in a cramped elevator while I was on the run. But… Greg knew her well. She was only allowed to have as much freedom as she did because of her. She was Greg's only friend for a while. I think it took her a while to fully grasp that Pearl was gone.
I found her last night, sitting on a tall rock overlooking the valley. She was quiet, uncharacteristically so. That was the only reason I needed.
"What's wrong?" I asked, sitting on the ground next to her so I could meet her eyeline.
"Did you know her?" Her voice was sad, none her usual exuberance in it at all.
"Who?" I already knew as I asked.
"Pearl." I allowed myself to ponder, although the answer was already clear.
"No." She clearly expected that answer.
"I think… in the end… she was the only one of those Foundation people that actually cared. Thought of me as… an equal." I didn't have a response. A minute passed before she turned to me. "Do you think there's an afterlife?"
I did not know what to say. There was a million ways to answer, I knew that well, but none felt right. And so I gave the only answer I could manage.
"I don't know."
"My mother thought so." She put it so bluntly that it took me a while to realise what she had said.
"You've never spoken about her before."
"I barely remember her. But I do remember one day. It was after my little brother died. Roadkill, you know how it is. She told me… that he was in a better place. That he was with the great feathered one in the greater sky, that he would be watching over us and greeting us when we come to meet him. But Pearl…" She trailed off, I could sense what she needed.
"We've got a big trek ahead of us. Do you need a moment?" I watched as she appeared to slouch into herself slightly.
"Please."
"Goodnight, Greg." I stood and wandered back to my makeshift tent. Her crying was quieter then I expected.
